SSA-44 denied: your options

By Elder PaperworkUpdated

Short answer

A request is dismissed if proof isn’t sent within 30 days, or 90 with extra time. You can ask again after an event.

You can also ask for a reconsideration of the IRMAA decision, within 60 days of receiving the notice.

If you relied on a new decision that was denied, that can be good cause for a late appeal.
